Privacy Policy

urvote does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with third parties. No user information is sent to the developer or any external service. Messages are sent using Apple's built-in Messages app, which handles delivery independently.

What is stored on your device

All data remains local to your device:

• Signature (optional): If you provide one, it is saved in app preferences on your device.
• Groups (optional): Recipient group names and phone numbers are stored in the app's local database.
• Campaigns: Campaign name, message body, status, recipient count, sent count, group references, and timestamps are stored in the app's local database. The message body is retained as part of the campaign record but is not displayed in campaign history. This data is used exclusively to power your Impact tab and campaign history within the app.
• Content cache: Template thumbnails and content updates are cached locally for performance.

Contacts

urvote accesses your Contacts solely to let you select message recipients. Contact data is read from iOS and is not copied, uploaded, or shared. Phone numbers you add to groups are stored only as references to your device's Contacts.

Network activity

The app may connect to urvote.org to check for content updates (new or revised message templates). No user data is sent during this process. Only a content manifest and template file are downloaded. These downloads use standard HTTPS and do not include any device or user identifiers.

Analytics and tracking

urvote does not transmit, share, or sell usage data. No information is sent to the developer or any third party. urvote does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or user tracking services.

The app does maintain local campaign activity records on your device to power the Impact tab. This includes the number of completed campaigns, total and per-campaign recipient counts, group sizes at the time of sending, and campaign timestamps. All of this data is computed and displayed entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. It is deleted automatically if you remove the app.

Deleting your data

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed by iOS as part of standard app removal. No data persists on any server because no data is ever sent to one.

Terms of Use

By using urvote, you agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your messages and for ensuring that your use of the app complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. This includes regulations related to mass messaging, political communications, consent requirements, anti-spam rules, and telecommunications policies.

The developer of urvote does not guarantee message delivery, the availability of messaging platforms, or the reliability of carrier networks. urvote relies on Apple's built-in Messages framework, which may be subject to limits, delays, or failures beyond the developer's control.

You acknowledge that the developer shall not be liable for any damages, losses, penalties, or claims arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Failed or delayed message delivery
• Misdirected messages
• Data loss due to device issues
• User error
• Violations of messaging laws or policies
• Substance of any templates and / or links to content

You agree not to use urvote for unlawful purposes or to harass, threaten, or deceive individuals. You retain full responsibility for any contact data you access or use within the app.

urvote is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of these terms.
